Header Install ARGGGG!!!
Ok, the headers I got for my 77' F100 with a 302 are supposedly a factory replacement fit. Maybe if you don't have an AC unit in the way from the top, or a starter and transmission lines and motor mounts in the way from the bottom. Any helpful hints? I have taken the starter off and both transmission lines. What is the best way to get the motor mount out of the way? Remove I know, but best procedure? The left side facing the hood looks pretty easy but I started with the left. It seems as though nothing is easy.

on the couple fords i've helped put headers on we had to lift the engine up...or....take off the front clip...
Ken selvy what summit shorties are you running....i see you have a 4 on the floor...is the clutch rod similar to the 3 speed? got any pics of the engine so i could see the haeders pls...pm me

i got mine in and it only took me 3 hours and 4 cases of beer for my friends time with a factory starter its ever harder to put it back after there on your going to need to run rubber tranny lines so they are away from heat but the basics start at the bottom remove the cross member in the middle and mine didnt go back and fight that sob up trust me i got ac to it will fit

Well, after careful consideration and a few tries, I have decided I hate headers. After removing the tranny lines, starter, fan shroud, radiator hose, removing the engine mount entirely and jacking up the engine and muttering to myself for five hours, I have my headers on. Was it worth it? I would say no but since it is done I will enjoy them.
