Superduty front speakers

Can I fit 6.5" speakers in the front door of my F250 Crew Cab??? If so, what has to be done to do it. Crutchfield only states that up to 5.25's fit.

best fit is 6x8 no drilling,

I just installed two way 6x8s in the front doors of my 2001 superduty.

In my opinion, it was a waste of 100 bucks.

now I decided to install a sub and amp. So maybe I will be pleased with that.

speaker are limited on the superdutys because of the window mechanics, unless your willing to cut on your door panel.

over and out

I installed pioneer 5X7's in the front doors of my 2000 CC. I love the sound. I changed the deck at the same time, so I'm sure there is a little bonus there over running the stock deck.

Good Luck

Yes you can. You'll need some adapter plates. Do a google search on Scosche SA68. They are about $8 a pair.

I'd rather buy a $2 sheet of 1/4" hardboard (similar to MDF). Cut a piece that will fit on your door panel, cut a hole for your driver so that it will be over the stock 6x8 opening, and then apply some silecone caulk to the underside of the hardboard. Let it cure fully and then attatch the hardboard to your door panel. The caulk will both reduce vibrations between the wood and metal AND will create an air-tight seal.

Either way, you should install a baffle board anyway. You're killing 2 birds with one stone here.
