need help with 77 f150

replaced engine, now having starter problems, got new starter soilinoid good battery good connections and still have nothing, help!

When you turn the key, do you hear a "click" from the solenoid, or do you get a "buzzing" or is there no sound from the solenoid?

A couple of things to check, make sure the wire is on the "s" terminal of the solenoid. Then, if you have no power, check the fusible link that is connected to the battery side of the solenoid. If the link is burned out you won't have any power.
The link can be checked by tugging on it. If it stretches or feels "soft" then its bad and needs to be replaced.
