Time means nothing to a GP. My 85 has had the same set of Beru's for over 8 years. The 93's are at least 6 years old. They were in the truck when I bought it.

It sounds like Your batt's and possibly starter are shot. Starter speed is the key to good starts. If You run the batt's down, the starter is working harder/hotter trying to turn the engine with low amps

I plugged in my block heater. It works, and it works good. It started the truck within 2 seconds

Bad thing here.

If the engine gets cold while you are out, you will need to plug in to get home.

Are you selling your truck after you get the Expy?

If yes, you will get more money if the glow plug system works right and the engine fires up than you will if it won't start without being pluged in and jumped.

If you test the glow plugs, you might only need to replace a couple of them.

Not sure, I would probably keep the truck and sell the Expy.

Well my parents decided to trade their Expy in on a car rather than my truck. I'm going to Sanford Friday to get my truck appraised. I'm going to Nations Trucks since they have several diesels I'm thinking of looking at. Though I'm trying to sell my truck privately since I get more money for it.
