Since I bought my Ex V10 used with 113K miles, I don't know if the coils are original or were they replaced with aftermarket.
Does the OEM coils have Motorcraft stamped on top? Mine are all black with a small number stamped in white.
Thank you in advance for your help.
The mototcrafts have the p/n on top of them. I can't remember if they say motorcraft or not, but I can look when I get home as I was just changing them yesterday and didn't even pay attention. If you should happen to replace them for some reason, stick with motorcrafts($45 on rockauto.com). I am going through and changing all of mine back to MC's after changing them all to cheap ebay units, and have had 3 fail in 4 months. They are pure junk. Stay from from them.
Well, it looks like I have some OEM replacement coils. That yellow is just a sticker I guess that can peel off. I have some coils that are completely black, but it looked like there was a sticker on there at one time. It has the same shape as the yellow area in the picture above.
