Just had the 10B17 flash uploaded onto my truck yesterday. It's made a noticeable improvement in transmission shifting. Much smoother, almost like Ford has delayed the lock-up a fraction of a second or so to soften out the low speed shifts. Can't say anything about power or mileage increases yet. Here's a video of the whole procedure in the dealer service bay:
It does not take long at all. I dropped the truck off and they gave me a car to take to the restaurant for breakfast, Debbie and I went, ate and returned in 45 minutes. Truck was being chamois-ed off at the wash rack. Great service.
great video epic....doubt i can get the dealership up in miami to allow me to do anything like that.....i called them today to see if they have the reflash yet, they said they would call me back.....still waiting, yeah right, they closed at noon.

What dealership in Miami do you go to, I'm presently waiting for Gus Machado on South Dixie Hwy to tell me to bring in my 2011 for the update.
It's good to see more and more 2011's in South Florida

Excellent video.............also thanks for the video about the door seal......my problem wound up being the actual window seal....I pulled it out and reseated the seal and no more wind noise..... I am still going to do the door seal though......Thanks Again for all the gouge <IMG" target="_blank">
Hah I stopp ed by my dealer today to book my tune appointment and the service gal must have thought I was from Mars - she says "where did you get your info from?"
After noting that Ford had a big announcement about it not too long ago and it is all over the interwebs and it is plastered on Ford's website she managed to find the info in her computer and booked my appointment. When I asked her how long it should take she said 1.5 hours - I was like "What? Are you sure?". SHe kindly replied they have not done one of these yet so didn't know how long it would take.
Guess I will be the guinea pig for them - weird....

Palmetto Ford....the lady there did not have a clue....said she would speak with a tech and call me back....still waiting....service in south florida sucks.
I got my truck on May 1, pulled what's known these days as a "rutcutter".

I hear ya on the service, although I have to admit Machado, on US1, service department does treat me pretty decent. There's a ford dealership here in Key West that absolutley sucks, so I don't mind driving the 140 miles one way for an oil change and gives me a reason to get off the island for a day............oh well a little off topic, but what the heck it's Sunday...........have a Good One........Looks like a good beer drinkin day today
I went for a little rip this morning...I just can not stop driving this truck. I have had at least 12 new trucks in my time but none have affected me as much as this one. It also turns more heads and gets more "nice truck" than any other as well.
Now there is the second best idea I heard all day right after going for a little rip in the new truck!

That's one of the many things that sucks about "Living" in Key West....the highway is 2 lane's for most of the drive, 1 way in and 1 way out, so if you get stuck behind the big motorhomes, you may as well kick back and relax because there are very few chances to pass during the day due to traffic, so I usually take the truck out on the weekends in the middle of the night when traffic is at a minimum.
Can't leave Key West though, job I have pays too good, so as the ole saying goes, "taking the bad with the good".
Sorry, again off topic, but this one was "beer induced"
weather wise, living here is great, my father lives in Missouri, and always laugh's at me during the winter time when I tell him it's only 72 degrees and I'm cold
Went to Missouri last winter for vacation, when I left, I told my Dad, "I won't do this again
