First off I traded my PHP chip for a hypertech power programmer III and cash because i wanted to try a DP. All i can say is wow can't believe hypertech would want thier name on that junk pos! Made me realize how good the PHP is. My DP question is what is the difference between the F8 and f5 besides the number of positions they can have. Any recommendations on what tunes to get? thanks
I will let the folks that have a DP Tuner answer what tunes question but I will tell you that you have not had a chip until you get a DP Tuner.....You will see
what settings did you have with your php? how do you use your truck? i have no start/stock/60tow/decel/80tow/80eco/120race. i do most of my driving in 80e, not sure why it is an economy setting because it runs soo good its hard not to romp on the go pedal.
I would have said to keep the PHP chip. Nothing against DP, but why get rid of a chip from one great tuner for a chip from another great tuner? I am curious if the benefits/gains justify the costs.
Most common tunes seem to be 60hp tow, 80hp economy and 140hp performance. I really like my high idle tune, use it more often than I thought I would. If you do a lot of towing, 2 or 3 tow tunes would be beneficial.
