power windows

i have a 1991 f250 with electricv windows. My passenger side window stpped working so i took it apart. I was abble to see that the probles is a stripped gear that raises the window arm. It looks immpossible to change the motor or gears. Has anybody done this or know how to? Thanks

Drill out the pop rivets, slide the regulator off the track and remove the whole unit. Remember to support the window though cause the motor is what stops it from falling out of the track

You don't even have to remove the regulator. There are 3 bolts that hold the motor to the regulator, only one is exposed. If you drill out the door frame where the dimples are with a 1/2" drill bit, you can get to the other 2 bolts. Then just pull the motor out of the back of the regulator.

did this to mine today, drilled the 2 holes and unbolted it. I took the motor apart and just had to replace the 3 plastic cylinders behind the gear. It works like a charm now.
