mmmm ok, i have a 94 f350, e40d, 7.5l..i just purchased it sat for a year or so,i had to go throu the brakes and front end, while i did that i changed trans filter and fluid..reverse works fine,i can take off from first or 2nd and upshift manualy it works great, but it acts slippy trying to take off in drive...
Not an expert but my guess would be that you have a bad transmission range sensor. It is on the drivers side of the trans connected to the shift linkage.
Maybe an idea to check for trouble codes.
I had the exact same problem and i changed that sensor and fixed everything. real easy cost me 40 bucks two bolts and a plug. (Maybe running it down through mud holes don't help)
hmmm ok i checked the codes...i did only the test u do with it not running so far..here is what i got 621,622,624,629,637 and 539.....i havent had a chance to look at the mlps yet,but i was wondering if it could be a wiring issue..the wiring was chewed up pretty good by a small animal while it sat, and i fixed it as good as i could till i found a junkyard doner..i may have to look very soon lol
All of the 6xx errors are related to the connections on the solenoid pack. 539 is user error, A/C on during KOEO tests. I would start looking at the connector for the solenoid pack on the passenger side of the transmission.
