So my dad has a 00 7.3L psd super cab 2wd F250 with 332,000 and counting!
We did a water pump in his truck about a year ago and now having problems with a bolt the p/o had broken off! It at the top right hand side I beleave. It been a while since I have been under the hood of it! New has problems knock on wood. I need to drill out and retap the bolt. Seem easy bit I know it will not be! So I'm looking for any info out there would be great! Has anyone broke a bolt on there's? I don't work on it that offten so not use it the newer 7.3s. I have a older 7.3. Well any tips or info would be great!
Could not really understand what you are trying to say??Is it leaking through that bolt hole?If not, then I would leave it alone for now.If it is.Those are small bolts compared to others. You could try a left handed bit first to see if it would bite and back out enough to get a hold on it.The next option is drill a hole in the remaining bolt and take a small ease out and remove the broke bolt.
If that does not work, thyen you will need to drill and re-tap.
Good luck
