electrical problem????
O.K this is on my 74 f 100 4x4. I have been trying to get this damn thing in running order. Ive rebuilt the c6, and am now ready to get this roadworthy. I haven't really drove this anywhere yet, trying to get the bugs out....I had a problem with the truck last summer> I drove it down the road and it quit running just like someone shut off the key. And then I had the problem of it running and then when I shut it off it wouldn't start for a while?? So I figured its the brain box. so I bought an msd box and distributor off craigslist, hooked it up, put a new coil on, and thought everything was great no issues. Now it seems like after it runs a bit when I shut it off it wont start till its sat a while. So Im thinking its the ignition switch. So I replaced it today . I started it up 3 or 4 times and it seemed fine. and then bingo. it doesn't start. I have had the alternator checked last year and it was good, new volt reg.?? What the hell is going on?? Any ideas. Could it be wiring that's old and not insulating??
