What Brother Les said about an additive that absorbs water is good advice. It would get the water out of the tank and lines so you would be done with this situation. You may have to run it for a few tanks to be sure that all the water is out but it should cure the problem.

I've been looking for an additive that will remove water but none of the fuel conditioners I've looked at mention anything about removing/binding up water. Or do most of them do it?

Here are some links to remove water from diesel fuel. The 9.1.1 should be available from any truck stop or repair shop. You may have to ask for it as it is probably put in storage until winter comes.

Down a ways in the red box is some interesting information.

Or you could drop the tank, empty all the fuel, clean the tank and reinstall. That way you would know the water, and anything else, is gone. Considering the fuel that you put into the tank, that may be the most positive way to solve the problem. Hope some of this helps. And don't worry, you're not the first one to have this problem and you won't be the last.....

I just performed some "Google-fu" for you and discovered that: Iso-Heet (red bottle) is top rated for water removal and perfectly safe for diesels. Let us know if it does the trick.

Thanks for the link. I'll check out for some Iso-Heet. We took our 5er on a 400 mile trip and the truck performed well. The WIF light flickered on and off a few times but I dumped fuel out of the bowl, used anti-gel and conditioner and didn't have any issues. I changed the fuel filter again and everything seems good.
