Hey, looks like I cracked my torque converter yesterday. Has anyone had any expierience with the aftermarket converters? Please let me know asap, good or bad and what brand?

I put in a Dayco unit because it is the only stock replacement unit that I could find around here at all. I didnt want to spend the extra for a hi po unit for my not hi po truck.

I think $450 must be for the heavy duty diesel application or something. Mine was a reman and it cost around $100 or so, dont remember. This was for a 5.0. I dont know what the poster has, though.

I've got a 1996 F250 W/ 7.5L mild (uder drive pullies, headers, flowmasters, etc). I've found a billet faced one on the web from www.transmissioncenter.net , for $329. I just don't want to go through all the trouble of pulling the trans and transfer case and having to do It again later.
