Are the meek inheriting?

I'm being facetious, but I read a couple of interesting recession related stories lately.

The first concerns unemployment by region. Here in flyover country, it's apparently not as bad. Pretty good here in MN, and outstanding in NoDak
(If Joe's 2nd cousin could find a job, all 10 people in the state would be working, j/k).

Anyway, it seems to say something about a less flashy economy.

The other piece that I saw made the distinction between classes of workers
- Highly skilled -- pretty good prospects
- middle skills, not so good
- low skills ( low wages) reasonable hope

Reading between the lines, I got the impression that a lot of 'middle skills' were actually low level managers/supervisors. Seems that there might actually be too many bosses .

Just some food for thought -- I don't claim that I'm right, just opinionated.

Typically the agriculture economy is counter-cyclic to the overall national economy, which is part of the reason for more prosperity in the fly-over portions of the country.

If the ban on exports of grain in Russia holds and the flooding in Pakistan continues, it might not be a bad idea to fill the pantry and freezer right now.
