hydraulic brake light switch

Can anyone tell me how a hydraulic brake light switch works? I have a 37 Ford pick up with hydraulic brakes and the lights don't work.

power goes in and the brake pressure moves a metallic disc to complete the circuit and power goes to the lights. the switches are either 1/8 or 1/4 NPT and available from NAPA

make sure there is no air in master. compresses too easy and won't move disc. just loosen up switch and push pedal LIGHTLY to remove air. (you can do this from under truck yourself by pulling on pedal arm from under truck, just don't lie directly under master, or you will wear juice)
