Yes, but too short as always. Didn't make it to the World of Outlaws cup race but did get a new car-nothing like sitting on the motor while going 100 I guess..
Good Morning! Nothing like being woken up by an earthquake at 4 am. 5.0, 42 miles south of San Luis, shook the 4th floor of the hotel pretty good. Not enough to get out of bed though, that's how you can tell a true Californian I guess.
You get used to them I guess. My first thought is usually 'Crap is this going to be big enough that I have to get out of bed?'. Happy free beer Wednesday!
Good evening Nevada. Spent all day but I finaly got the extra alignment dowels out of the Mustang transmission. The first one only took about 10-15 minutes. The Second one took the rest of the day. I now have the engine sitting in the engine compartment but I can not find my bolts. Go figure huh
Relatively cool here, only 87 so far. Morning all!
Here's an old tip for you Jeff, whenever I used to dismantle (and remantle haha) motors, I would use an old muffin tin to put the bolts in, separate cups for different sizes, etc. Kept them from getting lost or mixed up. If it was going to be apart for awhile you could even stick a piece of masking tape by each cup and label where they came from. Won't help you now but maybe next time. I used to pick them up at yard sales for a quarter or so.
Whenever I do a project it seems like I always loose something or have left overs once I get it back together. My new method is to use a collection pan and take lots of pictures with my digital camera so I can easily review where everything came from.
I had all the bolts in an old coffee can but this is taking a lot longer than I anticipated. The can got moved from place to place as I did what I could and now I have no idea where it is. Oh well, Time to hit the wrecking yards and the hardware and auto parts stores. I will have to remember your advice Michelle for when I pull the motor out of my '96 and put it in my '71.
