110 welder should be fine to weld that especially with flux core even if its one of those 90amp pocket migs, good idea cutting that top piece to use as an elbow, I was looking at Otahyoni stack project and like the idea of using flex exhaust pipe, however I have no idea how much flex exhaust is per foot? haha I'm getting sick of listeneing to my straight pipe too

flex pipe is essential in an exhaust system to minimize vibrations and allow parts to flex but dont use it for a tip. I am with fetus on this one, that will not even look good. you will see once you have it on. Flex pipe is more expensive than a mandrel bent piece of pipe from walker exhaust so look there too. here in canada i can score 4" mandrel 8ft long for 55 bucks. I made tips off of that one for people and made 200 bucks profit. 4" flex pipe is stupid expensive. just cant believe the three inch prices. Sometimes you can score freebies from the big rig repair shops. just a thought.

oh ok, well that is different, using it to make the elbow will allow the rest of the exhaust to "flex" without ripping welds apart like i have done on mine pre flex pipe. Look on any big rig that is dual and they will have flex pipe, it isnt cheesy for that purpose. If you were to make a tip out of it though, that would get you a five star rating of cheesy. lmao

Put a turbo on it, it'll sound better/quieter, you'll get to have the highly desireable "muffler bearings" everyone talks about.............. and you might actually get to win a tug-of-war someday!

Flex pipe is not essential, proper hangars and design are ...

In the state of Maine, Flex pipe on a vehicle that did not come from the factory will get you a failed inspection unless it's behind the drivers compartment.

-Enjoy
