The pattern on my 1970 F-250 4 speed has reverse going to the right and down. Anyone ever see reverse to the right and up? I have not, but was told such a thing existed. Not earth shattering stuff, just thinking during this lovely Connecticut blizzard.
My '70 F-250 4x4 has a t-18 that was swapped in for the original 3 speed. reverse is up.....
my parts truck (70 f-250 4x4 also)has an NP435 factory installed. Reverse is down.
i just bought a 4speed to replace my 3speed. it is out of the truck and i just went and checked it and it has reverse right and down. It says borg-warner on the side of it, what model would it be?
Couldn't tell you for sure what you have. I know T-18's, and I know NP435's, only because I've owned both. The T-18 is behind the 390 in my current truck, and the NP435 was behind a 300-6 in a `68 I owned breifly. It's now a trailer as the front end was shot beyond repair. Rust and 2 different collisions made it very undesireable
Best I can tell you is to look on the case for any identifying #'s and see if anyone here can tell you what it is. You can also check here to see if you can identify it.
Hope this helps!

Can't really help you, either. Door tags are a bit beyond me. I've had mine decoded, but I can't remember what exactly it said (without going and looking at it) and I have no clue where I put the info I got back! Maybe someone else can chime in?
