We drove right by those things at the northern end of the island. They were huge. We pulled up next to them and couldn't have been more than 100 feet away from them. Never been that close and were curious as to the people who said the noise was a problem. We had to shut our car off in order to hear and could hardly hear anything. We tried hard and was able to hear a real tiny, but subtle roar.

One of my best friends from high schools dad owned the boat yard there and I went out with him to help with the boats. My mom and two of her sisters are staying on Monhegan this weekend.
