we will be wearing either our 3rd md uniform which is a dark blue with red trim or our 4th independant company of caedts from talbot county uniform that weekend George. The later uniform is a very unique colour, it is purple with red trim. ( think barney purple).
Talbot County! Hey, that's close to me, well, its decided then, you just have to win.........! How cool is that, what a blast you guys must have......! You get to have fun reenacting, and get educated about our country's history as well......
We do have a blast George. If your going to be in that area of virginia stop in and have a day of fun you might also learn something. I know there is nothing like the smell of black powder in the morning.
I'm betraying my secret.........I was a history major at UD, and love to ride around towns or countryside on my motorcycle or in a car or truck, just looking at old houses and trying to "see the past"......
BRITISH!!!!!!!!! Traitor ! Well, I guess the name Shaun is British, although I always thought it was really an Irish name. (Irish, and Shauns in my family!) Anyway, its all good!
actually Shaun is irish George. My group does portray one british unit and one unit loyal to the crown as well. Only at one event though. We portray a group called the queens loyal virginians ( militia) and teh 14th regiment of foote ( british regular army). The british uniform is very expensive. That runs around 900 bucks.
actually the reason Our british uniform is so expensive is because the unit was a buff colored unit back then. buff colored leather is expensive to buy and the buttons are expensive because we have to have them made for our group and we have to purchase lace from an overseas company because the regimental coat has lace trim.
