i'm working on a 92 f 150 with a 5.0 HO and ordered the parts from summit and while putting it together i discovered the piston rings don't fit I got the 5/64 5/64 3/16 ring set. does this engine use metric rings?

A few years ago I rebuilt an 85 5.0 and had the same problem.
The rings from the 85 5.0 HO were metric. I had a hard time finding them, everywhere I went just had the std rings. I lucked out and found a set at a local machine shop.
Long story short, I bent a ring during installation, wound up boaring .030 over and going with new pistons and std rings.
I think, at that time I only paid like $300. for the bore, pistons with rings and pressing the pistons off and on connecting rods.
