Brake bleeding
jk, how can i tell when to stop bleeding the brakes? I dont think that a chime will go off when im done... or does it? lol
The whole point of bleeding brakes is to remove any air in the brake system.
Always start at the right rear (furthest from the m/c). Make sure the m/c is full. Have someone pump the brake pedal until it is hard, then hold pressure on the brake pedal. Crack open the bleeder valve, keep it open until the pedal is all the way to the floor. Hold the pedal down until the bleeder valve is shut then release the pedal. Repeat until there are no air bubbles in the stream of brake fluid.
Once you are satisfied the air is out of that wheel, move to the left rear wheel and repeat the same procedure.
Be sure to check the master cylinder. Keep the fluid level full or you'll have to repeat the procedure all over.
If necesary, do the fronts the same way starting on the right side.
