You can fix your abs light on the dash by stragetically placing a piece of black electrical tape over the light. Totally kidding of course.

Thanks Tiny!

grease fitting

i did mine in january when i did my ball joints, guess i should get on the August schedule though so i get the convenient Pop reminder!

i have a fitting to screw on my grease gun that has 45 degree taper or so that worked like a gem for this, think it was 3 bucks at my farm supply store here locally, worth every penny.

And going to toss out with this one, for those with ESOF 4x4, do the guzzle hub maint while you are there, I like my new warn hubs, but could have saved some serious coin had I just not kept putting that one off.......

for those of use without any abs in the front, does anyone have a pic of the location to drill a hole. i would assume if you drilled a hole you could install a grease zerk at the same time for future use.

When you drill that hole, how are you going to handle the drill shavings that undoubtedly will get into the bearing cavity when the drill bit punches through?

Those will end up in the bearings and may ruin them.

Sorta' seems counter-productive.

I had my dad machine a few of those deals to squirt grease in the ABS sensor holes only to find out I don't have front ABS.

Someone could prolly machine up another batch and sell em. I'd for one would prolly buy one if they were say under $30.

I have 3 of them in my parts drawer now. He made three slightly differently to find out which one worked best. If three of you would be interested in being test dummies with these, PM me. I'll need to know how well they work. They're numbered 1, 2 & 3. They don't have zerks installed.

Are they threaded for zerks, and if so, what thread?

Alright, I had a guy in my bagpipe band give me a price on making the fittings. He owns a machine shop and said he could do them for about $10.00 each. PM me if you're interested and I'll put an order together.

That seems like quite a bit of profit is built into that price.

Does that include the zerks?

Since you're relatively new around here, I'll just tell you that the first batch was just GIVEN away to those that asked. There wasn't any profit motive involved.

Is he using my dimensioned drawing to make that profit?

Just sayin'.....

Good Grease??

While in Pep Boys (not a regular stop but had to go for RTV for differential) I came across some grease that I think is a good match for this service. they carry Castrol Pyroplex Blue. It is NLGI #2 and I don't see anything on the tube or the data sheet that says it has Moly in it. What do you guys think? Is it what I should I be using for the front wheel bearings? How about the needle bearings? Here is the datasheet for the grease.
