Body mounts maybe a body lift?

I was under my truck this weekend just lookin at stuff when I notice that my body mounts are SHOT. I need to replace them but was wondering if a body lift is in order. My question is what else other than the lifts needs to be done. With the body a few inches taller would there be enough slack on wiring and hoses to stretch? and what about the steering shaft, will that have to be longer or moved to work? I know about the bumpers and the inner fender wells but there has to be other complications, like the brake lines and all. I'm sure someone has done this and can provide some insight on what I could possibly get my self into.

A suspension lift is in the works for this winter. I was just thinking since I have to replace them anyway why not do a body lift too. Then I started thinking about all the stuff that is effected by it.
