On My front tank the fill neck had maybee a one inch hole. I have to use a certain fuel pump at the gas station so it will fit..Then i have to go very light with the trigger or it all splashes out. My rear tank neck is about well normal sized. However if you pull the handle more than a 1/8 of the way open it foams and then sprays diesel all over your feet. Sooo it would take me about and hour to fill both tanks. Any updated fill necks? That dont have baffels or anything? Anyone have this issue??
The problem with these filler necks, is that there is an inner tube inside the filler tube that the fuel runs through into the tank. This inner tube is a very small diameter, so if you use the Big Rig fuel pumps, you have to light hand the pump.
There are some write ups here where the air baffle is enlarged in order to help get the fuel into that tank at a faster pace.
I completely removed my inner tubes on my filler neck. I also sealed the filler tube to the tank, this way I can shove more fuel down faster.
