I have the Diablo Delta installed on my 99 PSD SD with 35" tires. I ordered the chipped to be programmed for the 35's but just filled up the fuel today and only got 10 mpg. I can understand this a bit but used to get about 16 driving the same. Anyway my question is can I put on a Truespeed and keep this Delta Chip in that is supposed to be programmed for 35's.
1. Determining the milage by dividing the milage by fuel required to fill tank.
2. I have yet to see anything on the pump to inform me of the cetane. I don't add anything to the fuel to boost if there even is.
3. Yes I did purchase it from you guys.
I am more than happy with the chip was just wandering if the truespeed would go with the chip without having to get it reprogrammed back to stock tires. thanks Ken for the info
The reason I asked about the way you checked mileage is if you're using a mileage computer its sometimes off after chipping.
If possible, see if the station will tell you the cetane rating. Many states do not require it to be put on the pump. Chips do really well with cetane ratings over 45. If its not that high try cetane booster (fairly cheap as its a common additive used by truckers). If that doesn't solve it then we can rule out cetane and we can take a look at the fuel pulse and timing that's been programmed for you.
