OK so I have had this strange short that will only happen in the morning when its cold out the truck wont start but I can hear it clicking.
What I have done is replaced all 30 wires and all new connections all of the wires are located behind the passenger side battery by the head light and that fixed it for about a month but know in order to start I have to bang on the round solenoid thing behind the batt? it has a few wires that connect to the two nuts???
I think its that thing can I bypass that I need to rule that thing out before I start to dig in deeper?
They are good I did clean them up BUT on the passenger side the aluminum clamp on the positive side of the batt is a little lose where the red wire enters the batt clamp but I have wiggled that around and the truck still wont start only if I play with the Glow Plug Relay?
The relay on the passenger side inner fender is for the starter, not the glow plugs. It's a dual relay system on these trucks, both it and the one on the starter have to be working for the starter to get juice. Yes, you can bypass it using heavy jumper/booster cables, but make sure that you are aware it could turn the engine over regardless of the gear it's in, etc if you do this!!

I see so if its doing it again then I can just jump it and it will turn over do I need the key on or off?
ya, thats the first starter solenoid your banging on. its going out if you have to hit it. they are cheap enough to replace. and yes, you can jump it from one big post to the other. key on if you want it to fire, off if you just want to crank it. one thing im wondering about though, when it clicks that means it working. so, if its clicking and your still not firing then most likely its the second solenoid on the starter itself.

Just because it's clicking doesn't mean it's making contact inside. The contacts can burn causing the audible click with no start.
Put a meter, or atleast a test light, on the lugs and with the solinoid engaged (key in start position) you should have battery voltage at both (all three really) solinoid lugs.
