steering splines

Your truck should be 36 splines. As far as I know from other threads on here, the only one's with 32, were early 99's and 2 wd. Someone else will probably come along and corroborate this. What kind of box are you getting? I sure love my Red Head!

What he said! For what it's worth, mine has 36. Count the teeth between the BIGGER indexing marks, and multiply by 4.
