I have an '11 6.2L and got 16.2 (I verified at pump and computer said same) driving from Minneapolis to Two Harbors, MN and back over the weekend - had the cruise set at 72mph when I was on the freeway - weather was clear and little to no wind and the tailgate was up. I drove 341 miles round trip. Other than that, I have been getting about 14.9 combined in the Twin Cities.
I have only 900 miles on mine, but thus far, according to the lie-o-meter, I average 14-15mpg driving like an idiot, and 10mpg towing an 18' trailer with 3500lb on it. This is through hills and all rural, no real highway. I am impressed so far. I have gotten as good as 19 mpg rural driving for about 50 miles but I was trying to drive with fuel economy in mind, easy starts, slowing down early, etc.
1200 miles on 6.2 SC 4X4 4.30 gears, empty no cap or tonneu, 600 mile trip averaging 75 mph (GPS says 73) fuel milage on truck says 13.3, calculator says 13.2. A lot of fuel is wasted when using the cruise to adjust speed in traffic due to the tranny jumping gears every time you bump up or down or coast. Seems like a defect because it doesn't need to jump every time you adjust due to the abundence of HP and torque.
Head east 76.3 miles 40% secondary rds, 20% dirt mountain/icy rds 40% interstate . 50-55 mph,20-30 mph 65-70 mph respectivly.1 1/2 hrs later
average about 50mph dash say 13.3 mpg....load two tons wood pellets, head home different way ,all secondary rds, west 80.3 miles 2 hrs later average about 40mph dash says 14.2 mpg!!!
Pull up to gas same pump as when I filled to begin trip...12 gals even
156.6 miles total 13.05 mpg truck handled beutifully never needed more than 1/2-2/3 throttle to keep up with traffic ,even up hill ,plenty of power plenty brakes great truck.
Went up North again put on 357 miles avg speed was 59 again running cruise and I hit 16.9,Iam just shy of 6k on my trk,now with the colder weather I getting 13.8-14.7 just running around the countryside..
Man am I having issues! I am at about 500 miles and have not been able to break 9.7 mpg average based on the readout? This is 90% in town, with mellow driving (kids in the truck most of the time)... I also noticed when going through speed traps that display your speed my speedo reads about 4mph faster? I wonder if my poor mileage is related to my transmission problems? It is a 4wd Crew Cab with a 4.30 rear gear... Anyone else seeing numbers like this?
Just got back from a 1500 mile round trip at 75 mph all interstate driving avg 13.8 on the way up and 14.0 on the way back... Our truck has 4.30 gear set..
Had 4 passengers and about 500 lbs of junk in bed of truck. No complaints here truck ran great in the mountains up I77 and I79 pulled some good hills in 6th gear with out downshifting...
At work im getting hand calculated about 7.2MPG , Im running 4x4 about 40kms out of the 100 a day i do and im cruising at about 20kph in 4x4 and 80 out of, 2011 F250 6.2L 3.73

I'm with ya RaceTec. I ran a 70 mile trip on the e-way, filled up right at the get on, reset the MPG gauge and jumped on I-75. 70 miles headed north all flat with no real traffic ,no cruise and kept it at 70 MPH on the dot. Got 11.2 MPG-no load-no other people in truck. Average 10.5 back and forth to work 10 miles one way on two lane road. I've NEVER broke 13. Just rolled 1000 miles on that last road trip on the e-way. 4.30 gears F-250 Crew 4x4. Oh, and tranny ran at 203 F ? Don't know what is up with that.

192 miles each way. Loaded with an 8000lb trailer 7.3mpg, empty return trip 13.3mpg... With that being said the return trip is actually mostly down hill... 4953 miles on my 6.2L 4.30 C/C 4wd... Still having transmission problems...
I just picked up my 2011 F250 4x4 crew cab short bed yesterday afternoon and have less than 100 miles on it, and it is showing 13.3 mpg. The dealer has been telling me I can expect 15(+/-). I traded off an 06 F350 4x4 crew cab long bed with a 6.0 and was getting 16-16.5 on the highway.
From what I am reading here, 15 mpg is a pipe dream.
