Welcome to FTE
There are three different sized u-bolts, three different plates, because there are three different rear springs: 5, 6 or 9 leafs.
With/without Limited Slip also makes a difference. There are two different rear axles, Dana 44 w/Limited Slip, or the Ford 9 inch without. The diameter of the axle tubes is the difference.
Post the AXLE code found on the Warranty Plate, and the number of rear spring leafs.
The u-bolts and nuts can be bought at autoparts stores, but you will need to take an original with you to match it up.

The mounting plate was a Ford Dealer item only.
Which is correct? I parted out a truck years ago that had cast mounting plates on the bottom of the tubes and the bolts were squared and contacted the leaf spring directly.
My truck IIRC was setup with a flat plate on top of the leaf springs and rounded u bolts.

Which is correct? What did I just type?
How many leafs in the rear springs does it have?
Ford offered three different rear springs for F100's: One had 5 leafs, one had 6 leafs, one had 9 leafs.
Did the truck have a Limited Slip rear axle? Ford used the Dana 44 with Limited Slip thru mid-year 1968. If no Limited Slip, the rear axle is a Ford 9 inch.
The Dana axle tube is a different diameter than the 9 inch.
ALL the above makes a difference as to which u-bolts, mounting plates the truck has.
One size u-bolt does not fit-all. There are three different mounting plates.
If the OP wants the correct parts, I need this info. If I don't get the info, there is nothing I can do.
I am not going to guess which parts are correct. I didn't do it this way at the parts counter, so I ain't gonna do it this way here on FTE.
Ok I will count the spring and let u know. The rear axle is Ford 9",the spring bolts are square along the top where the rest on the leaf spring. The bottom ubolt bracket covers apx 1/4 of the diameter of the axle, and on the bottom of the bracket is a line up hole and on the axle housing a nub sticks out to align too. I will get back under the truck today.

Counted the springs total is 7, 6 together and the top one apx 1 inch spacer then the spring. Hope this helps me get closer to the parts needed. I will also get a center to center spacing of the ubolt axle mount.

6 leaf with an auxillary spring w/9" rear axle.
To verify if this is factory, look at the upper leaf of the main spring pack near the eye bolt for a stamped ID number (similar to this: C5TZ-5560-AF), post what it is.
Your spring set sounds the same as mine.. If so, the u-bolts are 9/16" diameter. I took one of the u-bolts to a local spring shop and they made new ones for around $12 apiece which included new nuts and washers. They also supplied the pastic pads that go in between the leafs.
Here is the part numbers per the old micro prints
bracket B9D-5796-A
ubolts C6TZ-5705-D
any help with these parts ??
John
B9D5796A (replaced B9TT5796A & B7C5796A)
No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any of these part numbers.

Bill,
In my case, I trashed the original springs because one broke. I believe they were 5 leaf. The parts truck I scrapped years ago is the truck that I kept the cast spring mounts from. I think I kept its springs, but I'm not sure. My truck had flat mounts above the leaf with rounded U bolts. The mounts I have are rounded, and go below the axle tube and require a square u bolt that wraps over the top of the leaf. Both trucks had the same Ford 9" rear axle housing. Is either setup aftermarket, or are they both factory for trucks with different mounting configurations.
