Hi,
I have been looking for Step Rails (Nerf Bars - black tube steps) for our '97 Expedition XLT. I want ones that bolt to the frame versus ones that attach at the body mounts. The ones I've seen that attach to the body mounts flex, and aren't as strong. I am having trouble locating an accessory place that will humor my request...they insist that my options are limited to ones that mount via the body mount bolts. If anyone can lend any assistance on this, that would be great.

about 6 months about i have bought smitty bilt stainless steel nerf bars for my 97 and haven't had any problems w/ them so far.
they mount perfectly on the body, but either way you can check if they have anything for you @
