I just received thru mail my new straight pipe to replace the dpf & cat. Is it normal for these pipes to come without hanger brackets to connect to the stock exhaust hangers? It seems to me that without them, unwanted stress would be added to the turbo down pipe. Or did I receive a cheap version of this kind of pipe?
My dpf/cat delete pipe didn't come with a hanger either. I think the reasoning behind this is you are replacing a 80lbs dpf/cat with a 10lbs straight pipe. I think the major decrease in weight is the reason behind this.
Probably right about the decrease in weight. But I'd feel better if it had at least one hanger close to the down pipe. Seems like the 2 piece versions do, but mine is a one piece.
