New tires!
Thanks John, I was hoping I wasn't the only one that thought it looked good
. 110 views and nobody commented. I doubt I'll lift it any more than the LK, I was waiting to see how it looked with the tires and I'm real happy with it. Hows your quest coming along?

Well, the local place I deal with originally told me $1004 mounted balanced out the door, but their supplier didn't have them in the warehouse when they actually went to get them and ship them. That cost me an extra $80, so total was .... 1089 and I had the balancing beads done instead of lead weights. Had the beads in the 37's on the old KR and they were a dream! Yes the stock were 275/65s and I have not had it reprogrammed. Just got them installed yest. afternoon. I have a free oil change from the dealer I bought it from so maybe i'll get it done then. I'm at 6k now so another 1500 mi. Yeah, I would say it might be a little stiffer, I'm heading out in a few minutes to check air pressures, but I run heavy equiptment for a living so she still rides like a Caddy to me, lol!
OBTW thanks Mr Charlie- I am real happy with the look. She sits nice, but I'll probably do the rear AAL sometime before winter

I never considered Nittos, but I really like the tires you have. Now I am between the terra grapplers and the Wrangler silent armors.

Still looking and waiting. I'm probably going to know a little more after I see the 2011 F-150 order guide.
Night and day difference in all driving conditions. In any amount of accumulating snow, I used to have to be in 4WD with the Continentals. With the SAs, I can get around fine most of the time in 2WD unless it gets really deep. I only noticed a very small amount of road noise with the SAs over the Continentals but it's a small price to pay for the huge difference in capability. The Nittos on Tim's truck look great and I've read and heard great things about them as well.
I considered 15 different tires, but it all came down to the size- I wanted the 295/70 and they were the only one to make that size. I compared alot of tires over the last month or so, and I kept comparing them to the TG's. The light bulb came on and I said "Self, these are the ones". I wanted something to fill, not overfill the wheelwell, AT tire, good-looking and I feel these fit all of what I was looking for. If the SA had this size I might have them instead. I def. wanted the 34ish, and all the others were 275/70 which is 33.2 I knew I wouldn't be satisfied or too wide/big. I am happy with my choice, we'll see how they wear. Oh, and they're E range also. Thanks for the compliments guys!
Tire Balancing Products I don't know if this is the mfg they used but I just did a quick search and this co. was the first one I saw. I had these in my 37's on the CC Diesel and it rode smooth and never had any balancing issues. The tire shop owner recommended I go that route, he had them in his Chevy dump truck- like a F750 size and liked them alot. So I opted to do them in the new tires on my F150. Supposedly they're good for the life of the tire? Never have to have them re-balanced, ding ding ding- winner!
Looks good, Tim. That balancing bead thing sounds pretty cool. Definitely better than a fishing weight hanging off the wheel. And that made in the USA thing is a huge plus in my book. I haven't checked the tire size, but I'm guessing they are a little bigger than stock. What's the change in the speedometer reading?
Specs are 34.4" tall and I think 11.3 or 4 wide. Not sure about the speedo, haven't really checked it yet. I'd imagine it might be off 3-4 mph maybe 5 at hiway speeds. I would say 2 sizes bigger than stock with a 275/70 being the next size bigger, IMHO. I thought Nitto was made in Japan, I was pleased to see made in USA when I was shining them up!
I can vouch for the balancing beads too. I run dynabeads in the 35s on my Jeep and they are smooth as glass. I ran them in super swampers too and they were always balanced. The dynabeads are ceramic beads that do not breakdown or react to the metal in the wheels. I know some guys use BBs and have even heard of golf *****, but the dynabeads are a really slick product.
The tire size is great too. I'm leaning towards a 1.5" AS LK and I like the 34ish size.

No rubbing either.
