New tires!
Thanks! Baseball was done the last weekend of July, for all-stars anyway - we went 10-8 and could have won a few more of those we lost. We have a fall ball league here that starts in the next week or 2 for practice anyway, IIRC it runs thru the end of Oct? Its like a travel team, we play other teams within say a 25 mile radius. I'm looking forward to it, as now its the big diamond- 60' 6" mound and 90' bases. I think my son is a little apprehensive, but he pitched in one tournament where it was 53' mound and 75' bases, and he seemed to do better pitching from that distance. We're taking him to another Baseball Factory camp in Williamsport the end of Sept, he went to one over Memorial day weekend there ( where they play the Little League World Series ) and it was an awesome experience! Those fields are immaculate! I have a great video if you're interested of him, he had a great play from 3rd to end the top of the 6th inning, threw the guy out at first from his knees then had a walk-off game-winning hit in the bottom of the 6th. The coaches did a mock interview with him complete with the shaving-cream in the face! It was awesome!
http://video.baseballfactory.com/previewvideo/Brandons_INTVW.mov Heres the video if you want to see it, takes a bit to download but it is funny! I'm the one that gives him a hug after the shaving cream. Takes about 2 min to download, its on Quicktime.
I can vouch for the balancing beads too. I run dynabeads in the 35s on my Jeep and they are smooth as glass. I ran them in super swampers too and they were always balanced. The dynabeads are ceramic beads that do not breakdown or react to the metal in the wheels. I know some guys use BBs and have even heard of golf *****, but the dynabeads are a really slick product.
The tire size is great too. I'm leaning towards a 1.5" AS LK and I like the 34ish size.

I'm looking at bringing up the rear just a little, not sure if I want to do the long AAL or the lift shackle. I want to stay away from the block if I can. Wonder if anyone here has the lift shackle and what their thoughts are on it? I read a few posts on F150online and guys seem to like them, and they're cheaper but that doesn't always mean better. I just don't want to stiffen up the rear too much, hopefully I'll have one or the other before it gets too cold out to install it! I've heard of BB's, but golf *****? Wow... Not sure I'd do that. Is that on a mostly-trail rig?
Are you bringing the rear up because the 2" LK made you 'nose high'? I still want some rake; this is why I am considering 1.5".
It appears to be nose-high, with the front wheelwells being a little larger but the tape measure says its level. Thats measuring the bottom of the rocker behind the fr. wheel and just in front of the r. wheel. I'm leaning towards the AAL since I had 5- 80 lb bags of cement and a full 5-gal gas can in the back last weekend and I could "feel" them back there, not that I haul or tow alot but it had a squishy feel. I had to put a ton of pellets in the back of the diesel to feel that, lol. My buddy just did the 1.5" AS and it looks to have a little rake to it, IIRC he got 1.75" with the 1.5 kit and I think mine is around 2.25 or 2.5 but I still need to get it aligned.
Your truck looks outstanding! I am thinking of going with Nittos this time around - typically a BFG AT guy. Problem I have is my truck has the 20's on it - so tires are NOT cheap. I think it will look good with a 33"-34" tire on those rims though. Anyway - very well done - love it!
According to this website Tire Size Calculator - tire & wheel plus sizing
you should be about 5 mph off.
Looks good!!

Looks good. Can you measure the actual height of the tire for me? (you know, take a ruler or something on the top of the tire adn then measure down?)
I'm looking at either those or the KOs in a 305/65/18 size and would really like to save about $200 buying tires, but you know. I like the width of the 305 and the height of the 295/70/18s as well as the price. I love the KOs I have on my truck now, but with 40K they're shot, and only "32s" so I need that extra little bump in size.
In case you guys are wondering, a guy measured his 305/65/18s and with some tread gone, measured 33-33.3" tall. My KOs which are supposed to be 32.8s are sitting around 31.

They are just under 34", like 33 and 7/8" and that is the rear with 52 psi. Thats just with an eyeball, I could put a level on it if you need me to, but just under 34" and I think they look great! I just need to bring the back up 1.5" to make both wheelwells the same distance from the top of the tire, front is @ 8" rear 6.5" and that will give me back a 'little' rake.

I guess it comes down to longevity.
Please post your thoughts on 'em! They do look pretty good with 'em on there.
My buddy has a set of 275/60/22s that measure around 32" on his Tacoma and they're sitting at 11/32nds with about 5K miles on 'em or so. According to the specs, that's about 1/32nds off the new tires.

More like 1/2 inch, maybe a tick more. Spec height is 34.4" for them. They do have some nice meaty tread, getting it aligned Wed next week, for some reason alignment shops are real busy around here. I'm taking it back to the dealer I bought it from, as I have a free oil change I'll be cashing in, alignment is $79.99 so its reasonable for this area.
Yeah those tires have 16.6/32nds which is .6/32nds more than the 305/65/18 KOs.
Better hurry up with that alignment! Don't put too many miles on it. (Unless you had it aligned after the lift already).

No, they're in my garage. Why, want to buy them, lol? Rockstate, I put 200 miles on them so far, it'll be OK, less than 500 when I get it aligned. I need to get to work so it will just have to be OK.
