Power Steering Issue-need help
I need a little direction on this.
I have a 2005 Ford F250 6.0 powerstroke short will base, FX4 with 130k miles.
I just started noticing that I have a stiff spot in my steering. When turning to the left (counterclock) it feels normal and resistance free. When turning to the right (clockwise) at about 3 o clock I feel resistance. What could this be? Am i having powersteeing pump issues? I check the fluid and with the engine cold the fluid is barely touching the dipstick. My plan of action is to change out the fluid with some fresh.
What esle can I check to help trouble shoot the problem. I have a tuner and am not picking up any codes.
Thanks
Any input is appreciated.
Well I finally got around to doing a Power Steering Flush and thought that I would post-up some pics of the Old vs. New Fluid for anyone considering doing some simple maintenance.
I was not having any trouble with the PS, but figured it was time for a change now over 50k.
I used the procedure found at the below link, and worked great!

I was planning on doing it now I know how. I already have the Magnefine filter installed, did it about a year ago. Thanks Again...RockyThe filter is 15.44 on this site.. http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/me...=inline-filter
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be looking into this. Do we have directions on how to do the PS flush on the 6.0. I just looked at Phoenix's link, thats for the 7.3...i assume its the same as our 6's?
