battrey problem??
I have 2003 ford 350 6.0 lt ..today truch started and later I tried starting agin and no go shounds like bad batt?? put charger on primary batt (pass side) for 1/2 hr and truck started..left charger on this batt for 3 hrs or more (10 amps) and no chanhge in electrote level all cells read 1200 to 1225 sg and eye is red on this batt(pass side) is this a indication batt is going?? should I change out both?? original batts (7yrs) any thoughts with thanks.the winemaker

You are really on borrowed time. Change out both batteries before you lunch the ficm. Batteries are nothing to play games with on these trucks.

I agree with 69cj change both batteries as soon as possible or you will be looking for a new FICM and they are not cheap!! I also have an 03 and I just installed new batteries about 6 months ago. I went with the stock batteries (BXT65-750) being I had great luck with them(7 years)

just a note for 69cj and rocky1074..with thanks to both of you....changed out both batts today for 850..What a difference in the start JUST like a 6.4?? again both batts were re3d eyed ..glad I did it ...again tks for inputs ..the winemaker
