I am looking at tonneau covers and need one that will support snow without caving it. I was looking at the TruXedo Lo Pro and the Access Laredo but I don't think it will carry snow. I do not want a hard cover and am kind of leaning towards a tri-fold.
I have had extang covers on my last four trucks. Every new truck I buy I plan on getting the same cover but then they have a new model that is better than the last. The trifecta is a great product and holds up to the snow great, I had that on my 06.

Suggestions?
I have the Truxedo Lo Pro QT.....it sucks.....puddles up when it rains.....very low quality.....trust me don't buy it!
I had a Truxedo on my '03 Ranger for 7 years in Wisconsin - not sure which model it was but I never had a problem with it. Keep it tight, wash it and Armoral it once in a while to keep the UV off of it. Snow was not a problem. It still looked great when I traded the truck in. I would be getting one for the SD if I hadn't been informed that we were getting a cap for the dogs to ride in back.
I have an Extang Fulltilt and I absolutely love it. It's had upwards of 12" of snow on it with no ill effects. I'm not worried about snow because nowhere in the product manual does it say that it can't handle a load of snow, and it has a lifetime frame warranty and a 10-year tarp warranty.
Extang customer support is also great, I highly recommend an Extang cover. I've had the tarp and a couple other pieces on mine replaced with no hassle whatsoever, they've never charged me even when I admitted that I lost some pieces! It's got a great warranty and they stand behind it, you won't have to worry much about snow with this one.
I have had the Truxedo on my past 3 trucks. Since 2000. I use it mostly to keep tools dry and out of sight. But I roll it up when ever I hook up the gooseneck horsetrailer.
I can't tell you how deep the snow has ever been stacked on it. But I live in Northern Utah and I'm out and about every day. I don't know that I'd leave the truck parked outside to accumulate 3' of snow on it. But the 1 foot has never been a problem.
I vote for truxedo. Had one on my 04 then moved it to my 06 and traded it in. The truxedo had a quarter of a million miles and held up well and I used it for construction. I did have to move the latching mech. to the other side due to the hold down rail being wore out and not staying latched. I don't blaim the cover, it was used alot
