Just started reassembling my 429 and when i went to clean the harmonic balancer I noticed it's looking in rough shape. The seal is coming out between the inner and out hubs. My question is can i replace this without any problems to the balance of the recipricating assembly? Where should i look for a replacement part? I've only ever bought aftermarket ones.

There is a few places you can send your old damper and have it rebuilt. Thats what I had done and its alot cheaper around 50 bucks and i belive it came with a 3yr warranty. Respond back to me if you want a phone # and address.
Picked up an SFI fluid filled dampner on eBay. Including shipping it was just over $100. A decent OEM replacement was around $60 and the one I went with is a 1/3 lighter.
