i posted this in the kentucky chapter but i am going to post it here to see if anyone knows here that isn't in the kentucky chapter. I got a complete set of rims that is in need of being rechromed and a slight bit of repair work done. i am looking for some one in lexington kentucky or somewhere close to kentucky that will rechrome the rims and repair them. here is a couple of pictures of them. i got the whole set plus the two back tires for $50 dollars.
I think if they were rechromed and shiny they would be sharp as hell.
It would probably cost more to get those chromed than to get new rims, i don't know about Kentucky, but there are a ton of shops here in Ft. Worth that do electroplating.
Im almost positive that those are actually polished aluminum not chrome. The reason they look bad is because they are bare aluminum and require polishing to keep them looking good. If you want to polish them try some of this Purple Polish. Its the best I have found and is way better the Mothers etc. Since they are pretty bad, this green stuff may help too. What needs to be repaired?
