My buddies 81 Bronco does this, but his is because he would take that Bronco airborn, all four off the ground. Very cool at the time, but he destroyed his shocks and springs, his alignment, so on so forth. I had a Bronco that did that too, but only one tire, and that's because everything on that side was bent and near broken. Still ran for another 2 years like that. But I suppose that's what a 4-foot deep ditch and a 180* pivot on one tire onto farmland will do to a truck....
You could try getting an alignment done and see if that helps.
I suspect that picture was taken after the truck had been backed into it's current spot...if so, that's what all TTB Fords do when backed in...
Agreed, BUT, it looks like a bit much to be normal considering it is on grass, I would think the springs might be getting a little weak, and alignment could be out some, ball joints could be worn some....
When you add it all up it looks like the picture in the 1st post..
thanks for the help. i will check into all of that. yes i did back it into the current spot. both pictures are take on the same day so nothing is different from one pic to the next except one is a close up and one isn't.
Yeah I had to re-build my whole front end a little while back because the lower ball joints went out, and it still does this when you back it up. Its the TTB front suspension for ya. Although it is never a bad idea to check your ball joints, wheel bearings, and tie-rod ends.
Mine can be worse than that depending how far you back it up and if you turn or not. Everthing is new under mine except for the shocks (1/2 million Km's) and it needs new wheel bearings, But yes check ball joints and all the tie rods. Wheel bearing making any noise? Check them too.
while we're on wheel bearings... I think I know what a bad wheel bearing sounds like. I've had a few bad, being that I'm the lucky owner of an AWD mountaineer. My f150 looks like this quite a bit, but I back in 99% of the time. but I also have a mild squeak comming from the front end at low speeds like under 15mph. Would this be wheel bearings or something else?
Sorry, what were you asking? -- hipnotized by the green grille o' death --
Does it glow in the dark? that would be cool!
Anyway, that ain't normal. Bigtime negative camber! Driverside even worse than passenger side. Deal w/ it before you have to add tires to the repair bill. It won't take long.
