1990 302 engine specs
I've got a few questions I hope someone can answer. I have a 302 in my bronco and I'm about to rebuild it including new pistons and a .030 over bore. I have the E7TE heads and block, everything is stock. I would like to know the compression ratio for that stock setup. And are the stock pistons cast or hypereutectic? Does this engine have specific pistons or will a set from summit that are described as "85-95 302" work. I heard that the pistons in my motor are a "metric compression height"? Is something I need to look for. Any help in straightening this out would be greatly appreciated.

Compression ratio for a stock 1990 EFI302 is 9:1. To get the answer(s) to your piston questions I would call the Ford Racing Hotline at (586)468-1356.I don't think Ford made any changes in the pistons after 1995, but they would know for sure there.
