PM COSTS

I am coming up to my first Oil Change on my 2011 F550.
For those who have serviced it at a Ford Dealer, approximately what did this cost you?
Alternatively, for those who have had your fuel filters changed, what did this cost you?

Would I be voiding my warranty if I did the repairs myself? Only thing I notice in the suppliment guide is if I use filters besides Motorcraft I could possible void my warranty.

Please let me know.

Thanks Community!

My first service was $105 but I had a rebate coupon from Ford for $50. My net cost was $55. I will do them myself from here on.

I was charged $100.53 for an oil change. No coupon or any discount. It was the dealer I buy from, done by the only tech. to work on my trucks.

My first and every other one afterward will be free, courtesy of my dealer. When I do pay, they will charge, $95.99 plus tax. Those are enough savings for me not to do it myself.

What a deal! Should take you with me when I get my next rig.

Any Idea on the fuel filter maintenance?

Is this only for when the msg center informs you or every 5k-6k?
Even if it worked out to be every other, that's still a great deal.

This DEF is expensive stuff in my opinion. I paid around 10 bucks a gallon.

Ruschejj: I was told by my dealer when I picked up my '11 F-250 a few weeks ago, the first oil change would be $50.00 off ....a Ford discount that I assume is for everyone. Also, the first DEF fill at the dealer is free if it is under 10,000 miles and within one year ( ie: the first fill ) . I phoned them to verify the normal oil change cost and they said $100.00 ....unless the new filters are a few dollars more than '10 . I'm wondering if your dealer pocketed your discount ?

No, whenever(of course reasonably). I went last Friday cuz I had 5k exactly and the service guy said I didn't have to change it until the a Message came on but that I could if I wanted to. They also offered to top of the DEF at $5 a quart. I buy the 2.5 gall for $14 at our local Peterbuild Dealer.

Ford's dealer relations department has sent a communication out to all dealers with the program to refill the DEF tank at least once and information for the purchaser's of the '11 MY 6.7L SuperDuty to obtain the $50 coupon towards your first service.
This is tracked by the VIN# so if you don't use it's your loss.

If you have an O'reillys near you I have found that they have the best price on DEF @ 10.99 for a 2.5 gal jug.

Got my first oil change today at 5400 miles for free. Next one will cost me $94.99. Had my tires rotated as well for $12.50 minus $10 owner reward points so only paid 2.50. Cant beat that.

Maintenance is not repair.

You cannot void your warranty for doing your own maintenance. If the dealer tells that you will void your warranty if they don't change the oil that is also BS.

In fact, you don't even have to keep records of oil changes that you do outside of the delarer.

That's not to say that it wouldn't be helpful to keep them, but it is not required.

You are protected by federal law in that aspect.

however, they *can* require a particular filter or oil.
