I've been looking for a second truck so i can restore my current one. I found a 93 bronco south of me but the guy says it needs valve work. here's the post 1993 ford bronco 1,300 OBO I think it'll be an easy fix but i want some opinions first just to see if i can make up my mind. and what do yall think about the price?
Could be somethin as simple as bad valve seals. Give him a grand and immediately do a compression test, figure out what cylinders are weak and then pull the valve covers. You might find its somethin easy!!! If not, look around for someone with some spare E7s layin around and swap em on...i got a set in my garage from my Mustang so if the truck ever needs em I got em! Looks like a clean truck, wouldnt mind havin it myself!

Looks good to me. I would go for it. Offer 1000 cash. Thats a clean looking truck even if there are bigger problems. You could drop in a whole new motor and resell it for at least $3500

My thoughts exactly! Looks clean, check it in person and have a grand ready in your pocket-he'll take it if you flash it at him...keep us posted on how you make out!

I've decided that im gonna try for it. i just have to talk to the bank and get my parents to co-sign a loan. im gonna take out 1200 offer 1000 and use 200 for the things i need to fix it. i'll let yall know how it goes here in the next few days.
I dunno, I got my truck on loan and it had problems, albeit I'm the one that made out like a bandit since I paid $2,500 for a truck that gets really nice mileage(Went from fluctuating to about 17 steady)
That bronco could be the same case, if it has the inline six engine and a E4OD trans I'd run with it, though if it really needs some valves fixed then $200 ain't gonna cut it, might make a downpayment at a machine shop for them to start work.(My girl just got her 16 valve I4 bowtie head done for $288)
It's a 5.0 i have a set of e7's lined up already that came off a mustang for $100. I still haven't made up my mind on if i get it what to do with my truck. part of me wants to keep it and fix it up cause it's been in the family since new. and then the other is get rid of it to pay back the loan. i can swing both but the trouble is making up my mind.
If you dont have cash you dont have the Bronco, thats the way you gotta play the game. Debt sucks, owing ANYone ANYthing sucks. If you need a loan to swing $1000 then you dont need to be spending $1000 right now. Stick to what you got until you can afford the other. You can restore while driving, just gotta be smart bout it.
