C6 Shifting Problems
Pulling out of a parking space Sunday I noticed the tranny acting up. When going from reverse to drive and also park to drive i give it some gas, the truck does not move for a second then 'clunk' it goes. It's not a long delay, but enough for me to notice. It's the first time I have owned a C6 but it also seems to not want to down shift correctly on a steep hill. I checked the fluid and it looks fine. the PO changed the fluid and filter around 3 years ago (1-2k miles). Any Ideas?

It will need a rebuild. The seals in the valve body have gotten hard and it takes awhile for the fluid to warm up enough to soften them enough to seal and allow the trans to work properly. It will start taking more time to go into drive over time.
