new member, new (old) truck
Hi everyone. I recently bought a 77 hiboy F250. I found this forum and wanted to say Hi. I am from Beaverton, Oregon. 42 years old and haven't owned a pickup since I was 28 yrs old. Too long, back in the game.
I hope you guys have lots of patience as I will likely have a ton of questions. My truck has lots of issues. I bought it to slowly build and use around the house so to speak. But failed OR DEQ right out of the bat.

Hi Kalve. I will to figure out how to post a pic.
I have owned many trucks. Last was a 96 Ford F150 4X4. After moving to Oregon I bought an SUV because I wanted cover from all the rain! Always wanted another truck. Did a partial trade with the wife's old jap-scrap toyota celica for this beast.
This truck will also be a work in progress. It has several/many issues. Its quite clean however as lots of western trucks are. I would have liked to pass the DEQ though. That is complicating my situ quite a bit. OR only allows 2, 21 day trip permits per 12 months. The minute I switch the title at the DMV I will need a trip permit to drive home as that invalidates the WA plates that are on it. I'm not sure I have the time or $ to get it fixed in 21 days. Not sure what to do as it is also the law to get title switched over inside of 90 days.
Anyone know a good mechanic familiar with 77 F250 - 460 around Portland/Beaverton?
