does anyone have a good suggestion on finding a replacement front bed panel for a short box flairside? the bottom edge of mine is rusted out, would i be better off welding a new lip on, or replacing the whole panel?
If you do a search of the forum, someone replaced the bed floor with a newer style Ford bed panel for $380 or something like that. That was the dealer price I believe. They even have it posted on metal benders site. I know ND posted the part # a while back but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.
You would most likely be better off welding a replacement lip on since the # of spot welds and header panel is not a repo at this time that I know of.

Reproduced / Available from myriad repro/aftermarket parts sellers / One source close to you would be Sacramento Vintage Ford.

Mark, the OP's asking for the front sheet metal bed panel of a short bed Flareside pickup.
The OP is not asking about the bed floor, cuz it's wood.
Oppps. I was thinking about my truck bed before I read his post. Sailed right over "flareside" and I read it as fleetside, sorry I had a chevy moment there. I should have also seen the picture of the bed in his avatar as well.
