Its dark without headlights...

I have a 1996 F350 7.3 powerstroke dually. I'm having problems with my headlights. When I have them on and use turn signals they will turn off. If I pull the dimmer switch they will sometimes come back on and sometimes they won't. Any one help? PLEASE...

could it be your actual dimmer switch? just thinking out lound but thats what comes to mind first

I bet you can solve your problem in the fuse box, try doing some checks in there. If that doesn't do it, then go for the wiring (wich i suspect isn't the cause, seeing it happens on both headlights ATSM).

I had the same problem, and it turned out to be the headlight switch had gone bad.

I place my bets on the dimmer switch, since it also doubles as a turn signal switch, and is to my knowledge the only component in which the two otherwise independent circuits intersect...
