I have a 1999 4x4 F-150 with a four wire straight line harness for my boat. I bought a 2 axle trailer that has brakes and a seven wire round wire harness. any suggestions on how I switch from the 4 to the 7?
this is the wrong forum, but if you go to a parts store and pick up a 7 pin female plug it should have directions on how to install it. I helped my dad put one one a dodge once, dont' worry it wasnt' his. I believe the only thin you will have to add is for the brakes itself. you should be able to tap into the 4 pin plug for the lights, brake lights, and turn signals. the only thing you should have to add is for the brakes themselves. I would try looking online for some more info before buying the 7 pin end tho.
