Hey all,,,
Am wondering if anyone has had problmes with Anti Theft Syst. not
alowing truck to start. Seems like only thing to do, is a trip to the
dealership. Ive read a little about this and doesnt seem to be an easy fix.
Its a 150 lariat 1999 . Any input would be helpful.

Welcome to our world....Unfortunately the PATS system is gonna require a dealership visit.
There is a possibility that the PATS key you have has been internally damaged,and another key would work fine,but its a longshot.

Thanks for the input. I was kind of affraid it would come to that. I guess
thats how they stay busy these days, not like it used to be. Love the
truck though, guess I have to bite the bullet and get er done.

A well equipped locksmith may be able to help you out.
If the issue is a bad key, or if the system has it's memory scrambled, a locksmith may be able reprogram the system.
If the system has a hardware failure, then it's dealer time....
