Just joined the fold

My wife and I just brought home our new to us Expedition and are looking forward to learning out more about it on this forum. Hopefully the pictures will work. If not, check out my gallery. Sorry for the bad cell phone pics. I'll get more soon.

BTW, anyone know where to find out the factory code for the door keypad? I would like to set my personal code, but it says I need the factory code to get started.

Thanks

Welcome to the FTE. All of your Ford questions will be answered here with the help of all of the members.

The door code is located on a module in the upper corner above the driver's kick panel. Usually on a large label in large bold letters.

Oh wow your truck is just like mine. 03 EB there? Mines an 04EB. Here's some mods I've done to mine, I'm sure some others might be willing to show some stuff to you. I say this cause lots of people seem to think the Expy as a minivan with no expression. But there's lots you can do to yours to make it personal.

Any question of the universe can be answered with a case of beer and a front porch swing.

Thanks guys! I uploaded a few more photos here:

Expedition pictures from cars photos on webshots

Washed her tonight and tinkered around on a few things. Got the keypad set up and GPS all figured out. Love the air conditioned seats!

Two questions:

Can I get updated maps for my navigation?

Does anyone make a cargo mat that will cover the cargo area when the third row is down and then also stay in place (attached to back of seat) when you put the seats up? I have a feeling the third row will be going up and down a lot.

From what I've read the map updates are available from Ford and are a bit pricey. I use the GPS/maps from my cel phone. Droid.

Home depot has the cargo mats or you can try eBay.

All the companies with good maps are expensive. Garmin will charge anywhere from 100-350$ for a new year map pack.
